Feature Friday: Meet Kelsey
At Superstition Manor, our couples are at the heart of everything we do—and behind every seamless, joy-filled wedding day is a coordinator who truly cares. This Feature Friday, we’re so excited to introduce you to Kelsey, one of our incredible venue coordinators who brings both thoughtful planning and a calming presence to every celebration she touches.

What is one piece of advice you wish every couple knew before booking their wedding venue?
Kelsey’s advice is all about clarity and priorities:
Think about what matters most to you. If you’re dreaming of a large guest count, make sure your venue can comfortably accommodate your tables and leave room for a dance floor. If an outdoor summer ceremony is high on your list, consider how your guests will stay cool—and what your venue offers to make that happen.
She also encourages couples to look closely at what’s included:
“Make sure your venue’s inclusions feel helpful—not stressful. Know what you want built in and what you’re comfortable outsourcing.”
What are some planning tips that help couples make the most of their wedding day at Superstition Manor?
When it comes to timelines, Kelsey has it down to a science:
- Send save-the-dates about 6 months in advance
- Send invitations 3–4 months before the wedding
- Aim to receive RSVPs 45–55 days out
She also recommends listing meal selections directly on RSVPs to make final counts easier.
And if you’re looking to elevate your guest experience?
Kelsey loves our live action stations—interactive, staffed experiences that bring energy, connection, and a personalized touch to your celebration.

What design or décor choices tend to work best with the venue’s spaces and natural scenery?
Kelsey’s take? Everything can work beautifully at the Manor.
“I’ve never seen décor that doesn’t jive here,” she says—and we couldn’t agree more.
Some of her favorite touches include:
- Floating candles for a romantic, timeless glow
- Welcome mirrors on the patios with custom vinyl lettering
- Designs that complement your vision—whether it’s light and airy, rustic and romantic, or something uniquely you
At Superstition Manor, the goal is always to enhance your aesthetic, not compete with it.
What is a common mistake couples make during the planning process, and how can they avoid it?
If there’s one thing Kelsey wants every couple to avoid, it’s the last-minute seating chart scramble.
Her advice:
Complete your seating chart at least 2 weeks before the wedding—but ideally a month ahead.
“Grab your favorite drink, your favorite snack, turn on your favorite show, and knock it out early,” she says. “It always takes longer than you think, and no one wants that stress the night before their wedding.”

What is one thing couples can do during planning that will make their wedding day feel more relaxed and enjoyable?
Kelsey is a big believer in teamwork.
Don’t be afraid to assign small tasks to trusted friends, family, or members of your wedding party. While our team handles the majority of setup and coordination, there may be a few moments where an extra set of hands is helpful—especially for larger personal items like custom displays.
She also emphasizes the importance of finalizing details early:
- Have your seating chart done 2–4 weeks out
- Finalize food and bar counts about 30 days before
Once those big pieces are in place, you’re free to do what really matters—be present, soak it all in, and celebrate.
Kelsey’s thoughtful approach, attention to detail, and genuine care for every couple make her such a valued part of the Superstition Manor team. We’re so lucky to have her guiding our couples through one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
Stay tuned for more from our Venue Coordinator Series—and as always, we can’t wait to help you create something unforgettable.
